November 29, Saturday

Tonight was the last night at Hunan Garden… for now.  The five weekends of this month (10 nights) brought in 706, in addition to the 428 from the week in early October.  This thousand disposable will perhaps nearly cover the travel fees next year, added to my accrued Delta miles.  I will remember this kindness from Hunan’s boss and his wife.

This month, the dollar has begun strengthening against… well, virtually everything.  Most pertinent is the tugrik…  But the won is also very attractive right now.  For the barest moment I was tempted this week to go to Korea again instead of Mongolia… but no…

I’ve met several people on Skype (an IM) lately who have brightened my days somewhat.

For Thanksgiving, Shane, Dave, Bonnie, and I went to the Richards’ cabin; they and their two sons were there.  Uncle Carl also brought Grandma up.
